This museum features the history of Grace Hudson and a gallery full of her paintings of Native Americans. The day we visited there was also a quilt show on display and it was fantastic. The museum also has a gift shop. There's a small admission fee.

Ukiah is lucky to have such a organized, interesting and fun place to visit. The museum contains many artifacts from our local Pomo tribes, and also has in residence many photos by Grace Hudson, whom the museum is named after. The museum changes it up with different focuses, such as other art work about Native American life, a focus on... More

Permanent exhibit of Grace Hudson's painting of the native people of this area. A must see in Ukiah. Well curated gift shop. See the Sun House on the same grounds the craftsman home of Grace Hudson's and her husband

A local friend took us to the museum which houses some excellent exhibitions on Native Americans. We only had an hour or so, before a lunch date, but the docent was kind enough to give us a great ten minute tour of Grace Hudson's home, which was well worth visiting- so much to see, so many stories, wish we had... If you want to see some of the best Pomo Indian basket collection don't miss this museum. Always an interesting current exhibit of history or art. Expanding beautiful outside gardens, art and exhibits. Small museum but worth the stop.

I knew Grace Hudson was an artist who was important to the region and the museum offers a wonderful overview of the art, and heart of love Grace Hudson had for the Indians and the beautiful area. Her paintings of Indian children and books she wrote to keep them entertained while she painted them are charming. This is well worth... More

I had never heard of Grace Hudson but we enjoyed the museum and a tour of her craftsman style home. We saw a special exhivit on bird migration and another on the history of her family which was a history of the area. Beautiful baskets!!!

I love to go to small local museums around the country. They really give the flavor of an area. Grace Hudson is a destination for all my out of town visitors. Fabulous local indigenous representation, mixed with current exhibits of a surprising array, including metal work, collage, sculptural composition, well represented and maintained. Best thing? Totally affordable and supports the local community! A must see!
