I grew up in Walnut Creek so I've been going to Lindsay for a long time. (I turned 50 5 years ago; you do the math) It's a great quick trip on a rainy day or when you don't know what to do on an afternoon with the kids. The volunteers are great and knowledgeable. After they've gone once, the... More

If you've been to Lindsay before, go back because you will not believe all of the fabulous new interactive exhibits! This place is amazing because it's incredibly interesting and fun for adults sans kids AND for children of all ages. Live animals (who cannot be returned to the wild) are on display along with informative stories about nature around us.... More

I have lived in Contra Costa for years, and yet this was my first visit (my grandchildren were visiting). I was not sure what to expect and this attraction exceeded my expectations. The cost to enter with the AAA discount was $26 for two adults and two children. The exhibits are different and enteratining. It isn't a large venue, but... More

I loved this place. You can learn so much about local wildlife here. You can also get a lot of behind the scenes info on what a wildlife hospital is really like. Pure awesome. Great for wildlife lovers and families.

Not that expensive and has a really neat interactive bird rescue section. It's not a huge place but enough to entertain the kids.

Nothing better then seeing our native wildlife and suppprting an agency that saves them at the same time! People work tirelessly to save animals that people bring in that are injured or sick!

This is a fun place to go with the kids, especially if you're short of time. It's not a very big place but they've got some cool stuff and some animals.

What a fun and educational outing! This place never gets old . We all have our favorite animals to see and always want to see the new exhibits. So important to have this non-tech time!! Prefer to go on weekdays, especially during school year. Enjoy!

Up close and personal educational opportunity for the whole family. In addition to the museum's Lindsay Wildlife Experience they offer many special events and naturalist led local excursions. Their rehabilitation hospital is the first and largest wildlife rehabilitation center in the United States. I brought in an injured animal at the advice of a friend and left being a lifetime...
