good funny night out

You never really know what you are going to get here in the way of comedians. It could be comedy gold or awkward silence. This is such an iconic venue with great history it is definitely worth going to just ot experience it when on Sunset.

I love ... LOVE this place!... not only is it so utterly cheap for tickets (you have to buy two drinks - which is acceptable) but the acts they had were amazing. Every night of the week I went there was someone who I knew and loved! Marc Maron, Iliza, Joe Rogan, Anthony Jesslenic and even Martin Lawrence! Absolutely unbelievable!... More

If you're in LA and you like comedy, you have to go here. There are 3 stages - each with their own atmosphere and history. I'd recommend a main room show then a late night in the original room for a more intimate experience. You'll occasionally get a drop in from a huge name too. From Bill Burr, Louis CK... More

Get your tickets early and arrive 15-20min before doors open. It's rushed seating and you want the lower floor! Make sure you hang out at the outside bar after because the comedians will be out there slamming drinks after the show!

Went twice in 2 weeks. Got there after the first comedian had started and paid extra for a booth at the side. 2 drink minimum was a little weird as a condition of entry, and the drinks were pricey. Very funny and great line of comedians, mostly from Late show or Letterman etc. On our 2nd visit we lined up... More

Funny show. They have plenty of jokes and they keep you smiling all night. Located right on the strip its affordable food and semi affordable drinks will keep me coming back for more. Thanks for the laughs

We bought tickets for a lineup featuring Russel Peters. He didn't show up and the lineup wasn't as expected. No one informed the audience that the main act wasn't going to show up. The host was high and made everyone uncomfortable. Most of the comedians bombed and we considered walking out half way through. All in all, it was a... More

We were visiting and found that one of our friends was performing in the upstairs Belly Room on a Tuesday night. We had a blast in this small 70 seat room! You're up close and personal with the comedians so get ready to be abused! Great fun, I'll go back!

I make sure to go every time I'm in LA, to the extent that I often stay at the Grafton over the road just so I'm close by. I've always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, the two-drink minimum is never a problem and most importantly the comedy is world class. On my most recent visit in August... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
