With over 27ha and 12000 plants, this is a gardener’s delight . The species vary from those within the multiple greenhouses (each with their own climate), to the more traditional outdoor varieties. We were fortunate that the weather was sunny and warm, although acclimatisation to the greenhouses took endurance!!

Travel out of the centre of Nancy on Tram Route 1 and walk from the Le Reclus stop. We went because it was raining and we had bought the Museum Pass which it was part of. There was a very interesting Art exhibit, a creative response to the plants, and the glass houses held some astonishing tropical plants. We didn't... More

My partner and I wanted to visit Montet. We took a tram from the center, took 25min. to get the nearest staion, Saint Andre/jardin botanique. However, there was no sign or direction to the Montet at the tram station. We walked and looked around but couldn't find the entrance of the garden!! How unfriendly the organization of Montet is.

Went here as we were hoping to shelter in the greenhouses from the rain. Unfortunately the greenhouses were shut until 2 o'clock so we trudged round the gardens and we managed to have a fairly good time. The gardens were alright, some parts looked run down and there was a variety of species from all over the world making it... More

The botanical gardens and greenhouses are located a little way from the centre of Nancy and if without a car are best reached via bus (tram 1 and bus 15 - changing at Velodrome) An extensive site, the rose garden was in bloom on our visit and the tropical green houses were quite interesting.

Only twenty minutes drive from the centre of the city these gardens are a delightful place to spend a couple of hours. With plants and trees from all four corners of the world, it is quite spectacular in June and it is free! Don't forget your camera.

With France being shut on Sunday and it raining non-stop we were rather stuck with how to entertain the children, until the hotel receptionist recommended the botanical gardens on the outskirts of Nancy. Without a Satnav this place is not easy to find, they don't signpost it until you're pretty much there. Even though it rained heavily the day we... More

Our family enjoyed the botanic gardens - they actually have quite a collection of carnivorous plants inside the greenhouses. we all liked exploring the outside gardens. Very peaceful. A nice place to stop for a walk. Much better than I expected given the size of the town.
