We were there on 9/2/17. It was a great place to stop by before we went on our Big Horn Mine hike 2 miles away from the center. Visitor's Center has nice restrooms , a spacious nature museum, and a large parking lot including picnic...More

Drove up to Wrightwood today to cheer on the Amgen Tour of California cyclists and discovered this little gem nearby! A bit rough around the edges, but well worth a stop. Plenty of parking on the day we visited, many picnic spots, and real restrooms...More

The visitor center is only open weekends and has some nice exhibits. Come during the week and use their parking lot for hiking. Directly across from the driveway to the parking lot you will see the Pacific Crest Trail. It's just past the picnic area....More

Run almost exclusively by volunteers, they sponsor a number of wonderful hikes and if there were ever snow they have snow shoeing! We can hope. The displays are helpful key to the local geology and natural history.
