probably the easiest-to-access hilltop/mountain-top view of Boulder and surroundings.

I think that the road to, and infra-structure atop Flagstaff were constructed during the Civ. Conserv. Core era. It seems that there is that kind of "history" there. I first went up Flagstaff in the early 1970's on foot, as there was (and still is, i would suspect) a running race (5 miles) from bottom to top. I also went... More

It is a bit of a drive up a "hill" on the outskirts of Boulder, CO but well worth it. The view is special anytime, but begin at cocktail hour and extend through dinner. It will be memorable!

Amazing view, we booked for 6.30 a little early for us yes but this enabled us to see the view in daylight, twilight and at night. The food was very tasty, maybe a little more vegetarian selection might have been good for one of us but what we had was delicious. Cannot fault the staff they were excellent staff.

If you've never been to the mountains, you will be impressed by the views, however if you are looking for truly spectacular views I would suggest Rock Mountain National Park instead. One pro is that you can easily drive up, so if you're just interested in the views instead of the hike this would be a good excursion

Looking for a gorgeous view and photo op? Just go. Winding, fun roads to drive on and plenty of stopping areas for pictures. Even precious wildlife if you're lucky.

My husband had been to the top of this mountain 40 years ago and wanted to travel down memory lane, so up we went. I'm so glad he showed me this beautiful place. The ride up on the narrow winding road is lovely. Not a bad drive at all. The view at the top is well worth your time. Just... More

This was the first place that my supervisor for my summer internship took me during my first summer in Boulder. I've since taken many other visiting friends up here to see the beautiful views of Boulder and the Front Range. It's a lovely place for to picnic or to enjoy the views and the crisp air. The drive up is... More

Stop at the supermarket deli or make your own lunch, there are several places to pullover and park. Walk around and smell the pines. The night lights of the city are fantastic, and, if possible, time your trip to the full moon! The moon coming over the horizon is SOMETHING ELSE!
