So it's like several blocks of shops but there are some pretty neat little spots to see. You need about 2 hours if you like stopping in and looking around. There are some amusing street performers to watch too. And ironically for being in an...More
Beautiful spacious outdoor mall with street entertainment. The street entertainer we saw was average at best and asked for too many donations, but a nice atmosphere and good dining and ice cream options. Definite must see and experience.
Came for the arvo to visit by thisbplace as we were staying in down town Denver. It's about 35/40 min drive to the place from Denver CBD.

Although Boulder presents itself as outdoorsy and dog-friendly, when it comes to having a bit to eat, dogs are mostly welcome at breweries as the polite police officer let us know. Outdoor seating for restaurants, and outdoor seating in the middle of the Pearl Street...More
With only a short night in town, we headed to Pearl Street to find some dinner and to check out the downtown Boulder area. We caught it on a busy night, with live music and a beer festival going on. The street was lively, with...More
Very cute shopping area. There is a parking garage that is fairly cheap and worth just going there than stressing for a parking spot on the road. Parking makes it stressful, but if you are staying 2-3 hours its worth it.

IF you use the dancing waters, two hours should be fine. If you are also having a meal, add an hour. There is also going to be street entertainers that the family will enjoy.

Lots to see and do. They have tourist centers right in down town so if your interests are dining, night life, local attractions, etc they will be able to put you on to it. If you want to get up into the mountains, you will need wheels. Start out in Boulder, about 15 miles north of Denver, go up to Estes Park which will put you at the entrance of the National Park. Boulder also has some local trails if you just want a local hike up into the foothills, but you will find that the prices there for rooms are ridiculous. Best bet is overnight in Denver, drive around and go back at night. Bring a bicycle too, lots of trails.
