These mountains symbolize Boulder. You can access them from Chataqua park which is located at the base of these mountains. Highly recommend.

Loved the views! Coming from sea level, the high altitude had me working harder but the view was worth it! Made it to the top fairly quickly. Some flat sections in grassy meadows followed by treks straight up. Loved it!!!

We love coming here to hike! We just pack a picnic and hike up to the top. Fairly easy trails and beautiful views!

Just because you have a pet dog, does not mean it has to be forced on everyone. I am sorry, unless you are blind it is not a service animal. We don't need it around fouling everything.

Walking over to the Flatirons and hiking up (or driving up) to the tops you get a wonderful view of the city and the surroundings!

Driving up to the Flatirons is an absolutely gorgeous drive anytime of the year! Drive slow as you will often times see deer around the roadway. The hiking trails are great and you should take time to go to the top and visit the Amphitheater.

I am a disabled veteran. I have a trained, purposeful service dog. I went to the flatirons dining hall and literally had to argue with the hostess and manager about my dog. They were so rude and hostile! I felt belittled and their actions and...More

We were pretty disappointed that some of the trails did not allow dogs, also in order to have your dog off leash, you have to go to a “mandatory” sight & sound class for three days???? No thank you! Not impressed with this at all,...More

The Flatirons aren't just a highlight of visiting Boulder, they help define the area. They invite and welcome you into the mountains.

Just up from Chautauqua Lodge, the road (Broadway) takes you up a winding ride to the top of the Flatirons. From there you will have an expansive view of Denver and the endless plains. I expect that the views at sunrise are spectacular, though we...More

There is street parking that's free if you want to start your walk earlier. Talk to the ranger/docent at the visitor center. He or she will advise. There are definitely flat trails in the meadows that are very pleasant... More

We were there much later than April when the weather was very warm and all the walks were available. Looking at the answers from other contributors it could be a problem or you may strike lucky. Sorry can't be helpful.
