Perfect for sledding

Perfect area for some free sledding. We had a 7&8 yr old with us, but there were families there with much younger kids. It was safe for the children, but still fun for the adults.

The venue was a perfect gathering place for a September weekend wedding. The guests could stay outside or go in and there was plenty of room. There's a nice service kitchen for the caterer if you go that route. The fireplace was charming and we had plenty of room to set up a bar/bartender in the corner. It's a beautiful... More

This is a great local park- would be better if the people who use the dog park would "pick-up". The park provides plenty of poop bags and garbage cans but we have stopped going because of the attitude of the crowd of young men with large dogs who refuse to clean up after dogs.

So my family and I dropped into this place to use some snow toys we had, more than anything since it was free public space. There was a small crowd enjoying the hill, signs posted for wolves, plenty of sunshine. Will check this place out again on our next visit to Breck!

This is a very nice hike, up the stairs. When you get to the top of the stairs you can see the peaks at Breckenridge resort. You can keep going, but be careful for the bicyclist. The paths from the top of the stairs appeared to be shared with them. It is a short 15-20 minute hike up to the... More

If you need a day off from skiing but still want to enjoy the snow, this is it. It is a fantastic sledding hill and it's free! It also adjoins to a dog park if you need some "social" time or exercise for your dog. It's located just two blocks from Main Street.

The teenagers love outdoor sports and being from Texas, this was a must do. We stopped at Duggars to pick up our picnic lunch and headed over to Carter Park. It had a wonderful covered picnic area, clean public bathrooms, and a ton of areas for different sports. The teens enjoyed the soccer park and enjoyed watching all the dogs... More

We've seen people with their kids sledding on Four O'Clock run on the ski slopes...so dangerous! Take your kids to Carter Park. It's wonderful, old school, healthy, sledding fun. Even if you are here on vacation, stop by City Market, buy a saucer and have a blast!

Nice slope for sledding. We brought our own sleds and I'm glad we did. You have to walk up the slope, but it's a fun, free hill, so who cares? Great for families with younger (under 13) children.

My 13 year old really enjoyed this place. He wanted to go sledding and the hotel we stayed at recommended Carter Park. There's no charge. You just need a sled. There's an overhang/porch-like area for parents to stand under. When we were there it wasn't too crowded. There were small kids on up to teenagers. Everyone seemed to be watchful... More
