Interesting tour of the mine. Great example of the very tough conditions the miners worked in. Was so cold down the mine - imagine working 10 hours a day there!! Well worth a visit.

We (myself, hubby and 12 year old daughter) all had a great day at Wanlockhead. A lovely little village amidst spectacular scenery. We did the tour of the mine and mining cottages with Bob who was both knowledgeable and entertaining, we also visited the library...More
