We always stop by Starr Kempf's metal sculptures when leaving the Zoo, Starsmore or hiking to Helen Hunt Falls. The sculptures are gorgeous art and just like a gallery you might stop in over and over to see some amazing art you can't afford to own, I love to just look at the beauty and creativity of the structures. These moving sculptures are amazing and like nothing else you've seen. This is nice to include on a drive including North Cheyenne Canyon and 7 Falls.

This is a must visit for those that know anything about Starr Kempf. Like Frank Lloyd Wright, Kempf was decades ahead of his time in terms of understanding the interrelationship of wind, kinetic energy, and art. His metal wide schulptures are truly works of art and well worth the visit. Swing over for a glimpse of the world famous Broadmoor... More

Not many people realize this treasure is here. It is essentially a drive by freebie, but well worth the effort to visit this out of the way gem. Starr Kempf was a superbly gifted genius in crafted the many mobile-like metal sculptures on display in what was his front yard. A must do.

The sculptures are in the yard of Starr Kempf's home. He passed away many years ago. While the gentleman was alive the neighbors didn't complain about all the art work, however, that changed when he passed away. Therefore, you will find some of the pieces laying on the ground. The area isn't really set up for getting out of your... More

May be I didn't see the tour and story signs, but this place is definitely worth checking out. The mobiles in the yard are incredible. I imagine they would be much more interesting with some texture/background. Otherwise, recommend incorporating this into a drive by after a sunrise hike/run in North Cheyenne Canyon.

Fun place to drive by and have a look especially as it's free! We just pulled up opposite and took some photos but didn't actually walk through.

I was at a near by museum on my way to North Cheyenne Park and this place happened to be between the two. It is pretty cool that a residential house has such odd and large pieces of art in their yard. If you are in the area, it's worth a drive by. If you aren't, just look at the... More
