Gorgeous setting, The area is coming back nicely since the Waldo Canyon fire. Its really a pretty place to kayak, and paddle board. It does get a bit congested on weekends.

There is a really nice, large designated picnic area under trees right next to the reservoir complete with grills and picnic tables. It will probably take 40-45 minutes to get to from south Colorado Springs, but it is well... More

I drive a Ford Fiesta which is not a heavy-duty vehicle. I drove all over this park with no problems. There is just a small section leading to the park that is gravel. It has that washboard kind of bump that one finds on... More
