It is 30-35 miles long. It begins on the eastern side near a small town Crested Butte. Initially it is paved for a few miles. Then it changes into a well maintained gravel road. It is passable for all kinds of motor vehicles when it is dry. I drove it at the end of September when the Aspens had turned... More

Loved this road. The colour of the trees was still beautiful; the drivers were very forgiving to me as I kept stopping and taking photos; the pass leads to a wine region from Crested Butte. What more cxan you want...

Spent a few days in Crested Butte just at the right time to experience this beautiful scenic drive. Make sure you have plenty of time because you will want to stop at every pullover to take pictures. There were many tourist like us, photographers, and even a few artists painting. This is one drive I will never forget!

This was one of the most scenic drives we have made around the country. The views are great and the aspens were awesome. We were there the first week in October and caught the aspens just right. The road is wide and well maintained with lots of places to pull off and take pics. Be sure that you have plenty... More

We have been to Colorado many times during the summer, but this was our first autumn trip. I have never been over Kebler Pass before and it was absolutely spectacular for experiencing the brilliant yellow aspen and beautiful mountain vistas. The pass takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours to traverse (depending how many photo stops) from Crested Butte to... More

Took a drive up to Kebler pass just to see the fall foilage. It didn't disappoint. Beautiful views! The road is two lanes and bit sketchy at times, but it's well worth the drive.

We drove up and almost turned around after we reached the summit of the pass, but don't be fooled, there is much much more to see! We went down the valley on the backside of the pass and it was endless Aspens and in the fall it is stunning! We will be coming back here every fall now to see... More

This is a gravel road that is passable with a passenger vehicle. The views are gorgeous and there was not a ton of people

Words cannot totally describe nor pictures capture the beauty of the aspen trees changing color. We were surprised to see that the road was maintained, since most of it is a dirt road. It was a nice leisurely drive through the mountains surrounded by scenic beauty.
