The ladies at the desk were so pleasant and friendly. They really know their history and were able to guide us through 2 days of sight seeing while we were in town.

This is really a museum and visitor center all rolled into one. The views from the main floor of the building were absolutely fantastic. We were there when the Aspen were in their full golden glory and there was snow on the far mountain peaks. Great exhibits on mining and on the railroads. They had a very good film on... More

THis museum has a lot of information and history of the local. It also has a veiw to die for. It's well worth going downstairs and watching the video of early mining days.

We live in Colorado Springs and like to venture to Cripple Creek in the fall to see the beautiful Aspens turning. We have gone by this facility before but never stopped. Boy are we glad we did! The best way is to first watch the movie of how Cripple Creek evolved into what it is today. The top floor has... More

We learned more about the area and its mining history. The displays were impressive. The hosts helped us with suggestions on which hotels might have rooms left. There was a nice assortment of brochures there, and the restrooms were clean.

Every thing the following reviewers said is true. It's free, historical and interesting. Great views. The more you speak with the lady at the counter, the more the history of the local area is appreciated. Be sure to ask about the nearby open pit gold mining operation which can be seen in action and free of charge.
