Tattered Cover is just what an independent bookstore ought to be.

Tattered Cover was a great surprise! I found all I was looking for and then some thanks to great staff reviews. It has a really nice stationary section and coffee shop as well.

Ever since I can remember, I've been to Tattered Cover. I love that it's still possible to support local and independent bookstores. The wood floors, ambiance, and reliable book recommendations are all worth it. You can spend an afternoon here, and catch the free bus up the 16th street mall and enjoy downtown.

I love the feel of old bookstores. I loved that this one had a mix of new and used books. My son also found a signed copy of the newest book from his favorite author! He was so excited! If you're going through downtown Denver, definitely stop in here!

My family spent quite a bit of time here when visiting Denver, found some excellent books at good prices, and enjoyed the experience. The help are very professional and courteous, and the facility is welcoming. There are comfy chairs in which to sit, and it's easy to look for books. Everything is in good repair, and the selection of books... More

What a wonderful bookstore. Great selection of hardback books and paper books, magazines. Children's books, small cards and gifts. We go here every time we are in Denver. They have about 3 or 4 other stores in Denver.

This is so much more than a place to shop for books...though they have every book there, I think. This is a place of community service, of love of the arts, of celebrating creativity. Most of all, this is the bookstore that brought Bruce Springsteen to Denver to meet and greet more than 1,000 fans of his music and his... More

Oh! How I love an “old school” bookstore! Yeah, B&N is alright, and Amazon is almost the default these days, but nothing will ever replace the experience of wandering around a bookstore on creaky wooden floors, through a somewhat confusing layout, where you’ll find packed bookshelves in every available space. That whole experience is slowly going the way of the... More

After meeting friends for dinner at The Goods Friday night popped into Tattered Cover bookstore just before that closed, ended up taking my 17 year book worm back Sunday for an hour or two. Loved this place, all the nooks & crannies they have throughout the shop makes it easy to sit a lose yourself in a book for a... More

I went for a book signing but had time to walk around and browse. Lots of places to sit and relax to read or work. I loved the curated book shelves located throughout the store -- It made it fun to browse and discover new books.
