Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum is in one of the oldest firehouses in the city. It is relatively small - only a big bigger than a row house. There is equipment from the days of horse-drawn pumps and a great selection of clothing and other equipment. And at only $9 it is a great bargain.

I've been to this museum before for a child's birthday party (it was great for that!) and brought my visiting brother's family back when we were exploring the town. It was interesting and fun and it doesn't take too too long. There is a good gift shop and firetruck on which kids can dress up and play.

Good place to take kids with lots of hands-on exhibits and teaching opportunities. Nice pieces of history of the Denver Fire Department also.

We stopped in since we were visiting other attractions in the area. It is truly a hidden gem. It has interactive areas for kids that look very cool. There is an old dispatch panel and old fire trucks and lots of information about fires. It was just going to be a time filler, but turned out to be an excellent museum and quite educational. It’s within walking distance from the Denver Mint and the Convention Center. Do take some time to check this one out.

Yesterday the museum was free. A great museum nestled near the mint. Communication, gear, equipment, vehicles, local and nationally history...and they took us and a dozen more on a 1957 searay firetruck tour through the city. Open top bed, sirens, beautiful scenery, smiles by all.

This was a wonderful place to learn about the history of the Denver Fire Dept. Although Denver is a relatively small city, their fire dept has a deep history that I discovered. I would certainly recommend this place for anyone interested in the history of Denver and/or the fire service industry.

This is in a building that was one of the first stations in Denver. Wonderful history of the dept. The old lockers are still there and the men's bathroom is the original. It is self guided, but do ask an employee about when horses were used, very interesting. Nice way to spend a few hours for people of all ages. Most of the exhibits are on the first floor., but one has to use stairs to the second floor because it is an historic building.

We stopped in and were really impressed with how interesting the museum is. Lots of history and exhibits in a smaller museum.

It was a little bit of a walk from our hotel in an older area of town but I am glad we stopped in. It took about an hour to do a self guided tour if you stopped to read about the equipment and the history of fire departments. It is two floors and does have nice clean bathrooms. The kids can try on fire uniforms, sit in a fire truck and slide down a poll. We had a great time there and were very happy we listened to the reviews suggesting it.

This is a specialty attraction. If you like firefighting, his filled with history and interesting artifacts. If you have little interest in the subject matter, you'll probably still find it interesting, but maybe not excellent. I didn't get to see everything, but did enjoy my visit.
