We were in town from California to see a concert at the Pepsi Center. We stumbled along the Denver firefighters museum. It is inside an original fire station. I sent some photos home to our firefighter son-in-law. I wish we had something line this back home. I specially liked the locker room. Great job Denver

My friend and I brought my 17 month old twin boys here. We were impressed with how much of the museum is hands on: fire truck, dispatch center board, firefighter dress up, fireman's pole, coloring stations, stop-drop-roll mat, etc. My boys were a little young for some of it but they had a great time. The gift shop had some... More

Took my two grand kids, 4 and 7 mos. plus three adults last Tuesday, 2/11. Small enough to corral and interest a very active four year old boy, nice toddler play area on the second floor, many interactive activities. I learned some new things, too. Can imagine it's pretty crowded on weekends, but for a mid-week activity, it's great, especially... More

This 2 story museum is downtown by the convention center. If you go during the week, there is adequate parking on the street of the museum. I imagine it would be more crowded during the weekend. I took my 3 children there and they loved it. The lower level is more museum-esque with lots of old firefighting items, but they... More

A kid friendly museum - they had a lot of activities that I'm sure kids would love. They have fire trucks and lots of interactive activities. A small museum.

This small museum is a great place to bring toddlers. Grandchildren enjoyed dressing in firefighters' hats and coats and playing in the big red engine and sliding down the pole. They also enjoyed the books and computer games upstairs. Gift shop is very reasonably priced.

Does a nice job of succinctly portraying Denver's firefighting history, but is mostly geared toward young (< 6 years ago) kids, especially the components that are interactive. Interpretive signs are extremely wordy and difficult to get through. Nice staff. A kids' birthday party was happening during our visit and the small children could be heard throughout the building.

I thought this was a very good small museum. I'm not sure what others were expecting from an old firehouse. The personnel were very friendly, and when I was there, there were kids galore...and having a ball. There a variety of fire fighting equipment from seemingly ancient to a great mid-1900s fire truck. There's also quite a bit of fire... More

This is a great place, especially for children. The entrance fees were very affordable and the exhibits were quite interesting. You can complete a visit in 1-2 hours at most and there are great hands-on activities for kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went on a Saturday at about 11 AM and almost had the place to... More
