I was pleasantly surprised by this show. Not only were the costumes amazing, the way the exhibit was set up was great. They spread out the "big deal" costumes so you always had something exciting to look at. The artist's sketches for costumes and story boards gave an interesting behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.

The Denver Art Museum is a great place to go and broaden your mind. They have excellent permanent collections, as well as intriguing visiting collections. The key to enjoying the Denver Art Museum is going on the right day. I accidentally went on the free Saturday that they have once a month, and I definitely regretted it. The crowds were... More

We visited the museum to look at native indian artefacts and we were not disappointed. The collection included clothing, pottery, baskets, and blankets.

The museum exposes lots of modern paintings and objects, which are interesting cultural artifacts, but I wouldn't see a high art in them, sorry. However the museum is really well organized, with many interactive zones and entertainments esp. for kids. (Star Wars costumes excebition is $28 and long waiting line, so I didn't attend there.)

This is a very fine art museum and well-worth a visit. It has many good sections and as one might expect given its location in Denver, its Western Art (including Native American) section is outstanding. Check for special exhibitions--chances are something will catch your fancy. Very nice little restaurant for coffee or lunch, too.

My wife and I went to the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. This is self guided using an audio wand. The tour takes about 90 minutes. The displays and explanations of the various costumes were incredible as well as fascinating. Highly recommend! Afterwards have a great lunch at Palettes which is located... More

Visited the museum on a Saturday to see the Star Wars costume exhibit. We went early to tour the rest of the museum first. We were very pleased to see how many activities there are for kids scattered throughout the building. The Star Wars exhibit is amazing! Even if you weren't a big Star Wars fan, the history, the artwork... More

Where else can you see a Yamamoto fashion exhibit, Venetian art treasures, Monet, Picasso, ancient Asian exhibits, contemporary mind blowing galleries??? This is world class art and a fully mental-cerrbral-tactile-emotional and FUN explosive experience. Loved it.
