A view of the mountain skyline, a picnic dinner, enjoying music with neighbors and friends-what better way is there to pass a summer Sunday evening? Come to City Park and either buy dinner at the dozen assembled food trucks or bring from home. An ideal...More

Disregard the negative comments as I found this park an excellent venue for my 3.5 year old an 1.5 year old. The park offered ample space to run around and a full playground to entertain the young ones. After a play we walked around with...More

I love Denver, it is a very nice city. A walk along 16th street is always worthy. But the city park is something else. The views of Denver skyline with the lake and the sunset are really unforgettable. On Sundays they’re a band playing, many...More

This is not a safe park. A lot of drug deals going down in this park. I'd only consider going here if you had an organized activity you were a part of. Then leave...fast.

We visited the park after leaving the Nature and Science museum. I spotted a splash pad nearby and since it was incredibly hot we decided to take my 7 year old over and let him play on it for a little bit. It was fabulous!...More

There is a lake and a duck pond. And lots of grass. While there is tons of area to take a walk, I was expecting more gardens. The zoo and museum are both there but those will cost you a bunch of money. The garden...More

We love to hang out by the lake, take a walk, watch the wildlife and just take in the view of the beautiful skyline. This is a great park to visit!

Just over the weekend I had a friend set up a picnic on the beautifully landscaped grass and proposed to my girlfriend. We had an amazing view of the city behind us, mountains, and the water. amazing place

Loved this park! Come here on a clear blue day and be amazed by the stunning views. They keep the park pretty clean as well which is a plus.

Good answer. I'd just add that the museum and zoo both have ample parking (and flank the park on two sides). Those parking lots can be crowded on weekends and during special events. Even when busy, though, both have... More
