Mount Evans is one of Colorado's many 14ers, mountains over 14,000 feet high. It's also one of the most accessible because you can drive up most of the way. From here, you can see the Continental Divide, and down into Denver. Sometimes you get luck and see animals like elk, deer or mountain goats. You'll almost always be able to... More

Beautiful drive, beautiful scenery and if you are lucky enough you may drive through clouds, experience snow in June and see bighorn sheep and mountain goats. Taking people form Saltsburg Austria there...they said "These are the real mountains".

Well worth the drive. There is snow almost year round. Make time to enjoy the view. The air maybe a little thin for some people.

Hiking from Echo lake to the top. Fairly easy to route find. Keep in mind you go through a wilderness area so groups need to be kept small. Depending on your pace, the hike takes a couple hours each way. Don't feel like walking? Just drive to the top! Parking lot can get crowded on the weekends forcing one to... More

One of my favorite places on earth! Alpine Level way beyond tree level. Very curvy road with cliffs below, well worth the trip. Seen Mountain Goats up there, and Big Horn Sheep.

The highest paved road in the states. Not particularly dangerous or difficult but not for those with weak bladders. Getting there is half the fun and think of the bragging rights. ONLY open during the summer months.

The road to the top of Mt. Evans is a little scary. The outside lane has some areas of black top that had crumbled and meeting a carcoming the other way was pretty scary. We decided not to go up beyond the lake.
