Had a great time here with my fiancé. It's in a weird place, but a great venue. The owner was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of his wine. When we're back in Denver, we'll definitely head here for lunch!!

Had a wonderful experience at the Balistreri Winery. The location is a bit unusual however the building and backyard are beautiful. Me and my fiancé did the wine tasting (all complementary) with John the owner himself and he was fabulous! Learnt so much and the wine was so unique and tasted great. We were on our way through to a... More

We are Denver area residents, and I even taught some of the Balistreri cousins (now adults) in my career in the nearby Mapleton schools. Now my family and I look forward to visits to the winery whenever anyone comes to see us -- especially from out of town. The last time was the Friday before Christmas. It just gets better... More

We weren't sure if we were going to eat there but when we heard that the wine tasting was free if you order food we decided to do that - my wife had the pear salad which was superb and I had the cheese plate which was amazing - we were encouraged to try every wine on the menu and... More

An unlikely location for a vineyard (1946 E 66th Ave between Franklin St and York St), on the north end of town on a slightly industrial strip. But, there's off street parking, a big tasting room for FREE, and spacious dining areas along with some outdoor al fresco style dining. You can try a few whites, several reds, some bubblies,... We stopped for a wine-tasting after we landed in Denver and had an extra hour to kill before checking in to our vacation rental. It was a nice tasting room, and the staff was friendly and informative. We weren't hungry, so we didn't try any food. So, it was just a quick stop. If you enjoy wine tastings, it's worth... More

Some friends took me here for a birthday lunch and it was great! Extensive wine tasting with many, many wines. We were not limited on the number of samples and never felt rushed which is often the case. They pride themselves on their natural wine, but I have to say, it just didn't do it for me, maybe it is... Balistreri prides itself on making wines the natural way; wild yeasts, minimal additions & processing made to the wine. I admire their grit to do this on a commercial scale, and I respect that. Having said that, the wines would be MUCH better if modern winery processes and procedures were used. I've made wine myself and I think I'm right... More

I have been to this winery several times. It has grown from a small tasting room in the little white house to a lovely space with a long wine tasting bar and a few tables inside and out for dining. They now have a banquet room and outdoor area for weddings. You could spend an hour tasting all the wines... More
