A Beaut of a Way to See Denver

This is a great, accessible river trail with plenty of stops for any interest. From Chatfield to Downtown and beyond, it's a great bike/hike.

Good, paved bicycle trail with easy access to Lodo, Union Station, Highlands and RiNo. Some sections - especially around 13th street can be a little dodgy with transients and drug use.

I love riding along this path. It follows the Platte River from downtown to Chatfield Resevoir (15+ miles). Can be busy on the weekends.

Although this trail runs 17.8 miles and starts in Thorton in the north and goes to Englewood in the south, we accessed the South Platte River Trail when visiting the Denver Children's Museum and started walking along the trail with a baby in a stroller, enjoying it more and more every minute. From the trail, you get a view of... More

A lovely way to spend a couple of hours, with a trail running both sides of the plate river, and a lot of green space with paths and sculptures ... and a cycle track leading out of town, Great space to have right in the centre of the city Great for a leisurely walk, a jog, or a bike ride..

After growing up along the Mississippi and near many lakes, I often miss being near water. This area gives me that fix! There is an awesome paved trail that takes you along the river. There is also a park and shops and restaurants not far from the trail. It's a great place to enjoy running, biking or walking along a... More

The surprised feeling of being in another world in our own city. Very cool walk, ride and run side walks are very nice, but the high water can leave debris. they clean it up in summer. We stopped at REI and Denver Brewery too since they are in area after our walk.

I have a condo that is only a stones throw from here. I love to walk over and "people watch" on warm days. They also have regular events in the area that seems to really bring things to life.

This wonderful greenway provideds miles and miles of walking, running, and cycling fun. It can get a bit crowded, especially on warm, sunny days. If you are on a bicycle, be aware and keep your speed safe and controllable so as not to cause conflicts, but otherwise this is a lovely space taking you into the heart of Denver at... More

The bike/rec trail goes from C470 all the way to downtown and beyond. You can even circle the entire city and go past Cherry Creek Shopping center, down to Parker and back out to where you started via the C470 trail. Platte River Trail is really lovely with lots of trees in most parts and a number of wonderful places... More
