A grouping of interesting art galleries and restaurants condense in a four block area on the historic Santa Fe Dr. You will find a large variety of art galleries that make up the arts district. The great advantage is the ease of walking from one gallery to another.

This is a great area to while away a nice sunny day in Denver. Strolling in and out of the shops and galleries is a therapeutic for the soul experience, to some at least, and this is the perfect place to make it happen. Loved looking at the art, comparing the galleries, and exploring new artists.

The first Friday of each month they open up the galleries and food trucks descend here. Sometimes they close the street but for this one is wasn't. This made is very difficult to get around as the sidewalks and galleries were way too crowded. There's tons of food but lines were way too long. I would only go when they... More

The Santa Fe Arts District is a fun, funky and happening area in the downtown areas of Denver and has become a fantastic hub of arts, nightlife and performing arts as well as coffee shops, small restaurants and cool old buildings. If you are looking for a great art scene on "first Friday's" just walk along Santa Fe and wander... More

Denver touts this as an "Art District", but most of the time the galleries aren't open. The area is a bit skezzy. It is not a place I would say is safe to walk around at night, and in the daytime there really aren't many galleries open to go see. The street is kind of run down with a sad... More

The district offers a first Friday event where the shops stay open late to shop and view the galleries. They also have food trucks and music to enjoy. A good visit for an evening to get out and see artwork and shop. It's small so not much effort needed to get around.

First Friday every month. The street wasnt closed for the event in May, tho I've read that it does happen...might be worth checking as sidewalks can get pretty crowded. But crowded is part of the fun. Some "galleries" seem no more than empty storefronts that allow artists to set up a stall and show what they have. Much of it... More

The Art District on Sante Fe is a fantastic section of Santa Fe that has been revitalized and caters to artists, art lovers, foodies and performing arts! First Fridays are fun and interesting with new shows, artists work and gallery openings with food, wine and other goodies. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help support local artists by not just "appreciating" their art... More

You have to look for the schedule of events to really get the best time to go. I typically watch Westword. There are over 60 galleries and some great restaurants. The first Friday of every month they have an Art Walk that allows you to preview and look at the most galleries.

We like to visit at least once in the summer. There are so many unique places to look at. Even people watching is fun here.
