I'm an older lady who loves water slides. The one at the aquatic center is wonderful. They also have a lazy river and a serious whirlpool that feels like it could suck you under, except it won't. The lap lanes are much cooler than the play-pools so you don't get overheated. I didn't use the rest of the center but... More

We came here to use their shower facility ($6) as we were camping nearby at Haviland Lake. It was wonderful. Place is big with all kinds of activities. There was a nice river trail behing complex.

We attended the kayak drop in class. A few kayakers showed up and we learned some new rolling techniques. It was a very pleasant and safe environment. We will be back.

My sister enjoyed being able to use the facilities for a few days...especially the pool. It is on the north side of the city near many motels.

It happened to be a rainy day in Durango when we went here and it did not disappoint. The lazy river kept my kids busy for hours. There was also a water slide, a zero entry pool, lap swim lanes, and two diving boards (1 and 3 meter). In addition, there was a climbing wall right off the entry way... More

OK there is a hidden gem in this town! If you have kids, even if you don't have kids , there is a great place to visit. The Community Center! They are about 5 bucks and its cheaper for kids and seniors. And there is an indoor water park! It has slides, sprays and is just a really great place... More

We regularly swim at home, and while floats on the Animas River were fun, we really wanted to get in some lap time on a few of the hotter days that we visited. $6 a person got us into the rec center pool, $1.00 each for a towel if needed, and another $1.00 for a locker padlock plus a wristband... Thanks for taking the time to review. It sounds like you are a lap swimmer. If you have interest in having a workout provided with a coach, their is a drop-in Masters Swim program for all levels of swimmers. Thanks again, and hope you visit again on your next trip to Durango. More

Always enjoy visiting this pool when we visit Durango. I wish they would post their swim lesson hours online because once again, we had to come back later as lessons were starting when we arrived. Almost didn't get to swim because we had other excursions (which I assume are important to Durango's economy) planned.

Great time at the rec center pool! I especially enjoy the zero entrance pool that is designed for small kids. The kids have a good time and I was able to sit down in the pool and watch them play. The pool was nice to go to with the overcast/rainy day. The price to get in was great. It was... More
