We were smart, rented bikes in Frisco at Recycle Sports and took a van ride (with our bikes stowed on van) up and then coasted down along the river. The path was paved all the way with some scenic areas. The rushing water sound made...More

Has. Been one of my favorites for cross country skiing years ago and now a favorite for a few hours of hiking! Goes up hill for at least a half mile but there are flat areas. I like the creek which runs near the trail.

This is NOT North Tenmile Trail; that is a different trail, though both leave from the North Tenmile Trailhead. This leads west from Frisco toward Vail. Okay, it's hard to say that any trail in the Rockies is dull, but this one has some drawbacks....More

The ten mile rec trail is a great addition to the Dillon Rec path, it winds all the way from Frisco to copper and up to Vail, along the ten mile creek, even though I70 is close by you really don't hear the noise of...More

We did about 3 miles of the 3.4 mile trail due to a foot injury but this is a beautiful trail. The river, the mountains and beautiful woodlands.

We trekked the moderate range, a four-hour hike for us 60-and-overs. What a gorgeous view. Wear good hiking shoes!

This segment of the Summit County paved bike and hiking trail is moderately difficult going up from Frisco to Copper, with beautiful scenery as it follows Ten Mile Creek. There are lots of places to stop and take a rest, including a bathroom stop about...More

While in the area, this hike has the essentials- woods, hills, and water. Small parking area restricts the flow of foot traffic, while encouraging local traffic.Appreciated the views without the climb.

I love this stretch of water between Frisco and Copper Mountain. Not only can one get a great bicycle ride in, but there is some fantastic fishing as well. Be sure to check out Officers Gulch near Copper Mountain too for fishing and hiking.

A perfect Colorado Day. We biked the 8 miles (mostly uphill) from Frisco to Copper Mountain. Beautiful ride along the river, past wildflowers and rocky craigs. If you spend $12 in Copper Mountain, you get a free chair lift ride to the top of the...More

the trail is monitored by the national forest service. if they sense a danger, it will be closed. otherwise, with snow shoes it is doable to the first meadows.
