Once you leave town your beside the interstate for only a mile or so, after that it's really nice and right by the river most of the way. Relatively Easy ride.

The trail is great. Rolling along beside the river, powerful canyon walls channeling the rider past rapid after rapid, wonderful side-trails to explore on foot, surprisingly quiet with most of the traffic noise above the bike path. The problem is that the trail is too...More

Fairly flat bike ride in scenic Glenwood Canyon along I-70 in Colorado. Concrete path with restroom stops. Fun to ride in the spring/early summer when the river is high. Love the area by Hanging Lake where the interstate is in a tunnel.

I always prefer to get out and get going on the Bike Path as soon as possible in the morning to avoid traffic on the path, itself. It's beautiful any time of day or night all four seasons but, springtime is especially lovely. Enjoy it!

Enjoy the river as you bike on this easy, paved trail. It follows the route of the old highway and there are lovely places to stop and a joy a swim or picnic. Also fun to geocache as you go.

This is a great trail for walking or biking. It follows the river and is relatively flat. Great view of the Canyon and river. You'll see deer and big horn sheep as well as some great birding along the way.

Which direction? East past Hanging Lake Trail yes. It will be predominantly up hill out. Next to a river all the way. You could lock your bikes and do the trail too. South to Aspen is about 80 miles round trip. Probably... More

It depends on weather. Once snow falls, you don't want to be riding a bike on the trail. Also, as the water rises in the Colorado River, the trail closes, as part of it becomes submerged in the river. Last year, the snow... More
