It's not an easy hike, but worth it.

This is about a 1-1/4 mile hike straight up. It's not for the faint-of-heart. It is a little difficult and crowded. If you do make it to the top, you will be glad you hung in.

Gorgeous views, steep hike and can be very hard if there is snow on the ground. We have done it in March and it was fine, just don't hike in flip flops.

I'm not in horrible shape and I found this hike difficult. 1.2 miles each way with about 1000 feet elevation gain, lots of rocks to navigate with very steep "stairs" toward the end. However, it is absolutely worth it! Hanging Lake is simply spectacular! Hubby's coworker told us to be sure and arrive at the parking lot prior to 8:00... More

Nice hike, a bit strenuous for older folks but kids will have a blast. Lake and falls at the top are well worth the hike.

Amazing, nearly tropical looking lake at the end of a tough hike. Take your lunch or a snack and plenty of water.

Not much changes at Hanging Lake, but the views are worth the hike every time. If you are not in good shape, this steep hike will present challenges, but people of all ages and sizes have done all or part of the trail, you can make it too! The actual trail lies 200 yards from the often full parking lot.... More

This hike was steep and difficult, but we took our time and stopped along the way to enjoy the gorgeous view. After reading the reviews, I did expect it to be more difficult than it was. We are both in our 60's and from a sea level altitude and if we could do this hike, you can too! Parking is... More

Awesome experience...you gotta go here! 1.2 miles up and it is a challenging walk/climb. We are 60ish and took our time. The view was gorgeous and worth the effort. We also went a bit further above the lake to see the falls......also gorgeous. Get there early...parking is limited and there were people everywhere. Great for families , singled, or couples.... A diamond in the rough! A beautiful oasis at the top of a mountain. Definitely worth the hike. The waterfalls are also a sight to see.

It really is amazing how clear the water is and how pristine this spot is with how many people visit each year. It really is a diamond in the rough.
