At the top of Lookout Mountain you should stop and walk a very short distance to the gravesite. It is interesting to see the stone and its inscription.

Fantastic view and history lesson all wrapped up into one. BB was a legend in his loyalty and compassion for the west and the people that lived there.

If you go up to visit Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum, you will not be disappointed. Great views along the way and atop the mountain. There's even a gift shop.

If you are into history you must stop by. The views from the burial site are amazing. You can spend 30 minutes or 3 hours taking in the history and the amazing views. If traveling from Denver up to the mountains it is about 10 minutes off the highway.

The views of Lookout Mountain are spectacular!! We really enjoyed the museum... Lots of information and artifacts. The gift shop is huge with lots of stuff and the snack shop offers tasty treats.

What a terrific ride we had up to the Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum. It provided great views of Golden and Denver. The history of Buffalo Bill, in the museum, is interesting, but the presentation is really dated. I think this park is owned by the City of Denver and it looks like not much updating has occurred. We enjoyed... More

Not far from the sight in walking distance you can also get a view of the mountains.awesome shop which was opened on thanksgiving day. They had the best hot chocolate and many souvenirs to choose from. Even though it was very cold... More

It is a little bit of a drive up the mountain, but a scenic drive from Golden. If you are taking the Coord brewery tour, I recommend taking s quick diversion to see this.

If you have the time, drive through Rocky Mountain NP. If you don't, a drive up to Lookout Mountain is at least in order. Great views of the city but not much else. Buffalo Bill's grace and museum is there...but was dated.
