We almost walked past this museum on our walk along the creek. We decided to stop in and we're glad we did. It is about $3 to get in and you receive a small blue disc to get engraved as a souvenir. The museum has a section of local residents' belongings from last century and an area where you can... More

Pretty good little museum on the grounds of the School of Mining. It is free, see lots of gold, silver and other rocks.

We had two grandchildren along and were happy to pay the small fee. The center is a mix of history and technology that has developed in the Golden area. I was very interested in an exhibit and film showing the manufacturing of beer cans for Coors in the fifties. There were old pianos and musical instruments and a laser etcher... More

They have great pamphlets and were very helpful in directing us to the quickest way to see elk and wildlife on our last day in Colorado.

Golden made this park several years ago and it's up the banks of Clear Creek. It's a fun peek at a working history household which has a garden. In the summer people are there to talk to you about what they are doing. You can walk along one of Golden's sidewalks to get there. It's not very far off Washington... More

Local Golden history is on view with some amazing local business history too. Coors beer innovations, Coors Tek porcelain, bullet proof vests, companies and inventions that are uniquely Golden all highlighted. You can make your own free laser disk souvenir! Small but fun and well done.

This was a small interesting museum. Who know"longs" wereinvented here, and Jolly Rancher candy. I enjoyed the exhibits, although it seemed as though Coors had more than its share of the space. I especially appreciated the furry covered piano, that would have survived very intact if some ill advised person hadn't tried to clean it up using water! There is even... More

Golden is a small town few minutes from downtown Denver. It is cut by a river of clear transparent water. We've been there in the summer and lots of boys, girls and entire families went down the river using tire cameras. It sounds and feels a lot like a golden childhood.
