Our grandson is crazy about trains so we thought this attraction would be a wonder place to visit. Bottom line, they have tons of train cars and engines and a train ride but you can't tour many of them and for the most part there is very little signage to provide a history or technical information. There is a wonderful... More

Thank you for your feedback, I will pass it on to the Museum's staff. Feedback like yours is important as it allows us to improve our visitors' experiences. In your feedback you mentioned our HO & Garden Model Railways. The club owners operate the HO model in the basement from 1:00pm until 4:00pm every Tuesday and the layout is otherwise... More

Our first trip with our family was at Day Out With Thomas. The event was very well run and everyone at the Museum was extremely nice and helpful. We went back to the Polar Express which was also a wonderful experience. it is an easy drive from where we live, good parking and a wonderful time.

I was here with my family for the first time at Day Out With Thomas. The museum is a great place for families, not just at this and other events, but any time. The facilities are well kept and the train cars, engines, etc are great to look at inside and out. If you or your kids love trains, make... More

What a great time we had with our 4 grandchildren. The feeling was magical. Inside the train was dressed for the occasion, and Santa was most perfect. We had hot chocolate, cookies, and they read the story to us. Very fun evening, kids loved it will do this again next year. I hope we all continue to BELIEVE.

Having visited numerous railroad museums throughout the country, this has to rank among the best. Not only does the museum have a fabulous collection of equipment, they are constantly working to restore equipment from the late 1800s, and doing an outstanding job. I have visited as an individual, and taken our grandchildren, and there is something for everyone. Be sure... More

Nice collection of vintage and recognizable locomotives, freight cars etc.. Lots to see fora nominal fee, liked the idea of being able to do a self guided tour. The folks here have done a great job with the displays and info available. Most are also able to answer any questions you may have...

Wish I could give a great review of this place, but unfortunately... Can't... Paid $10 to get in, I was given no information at the front desk. It was a self guided tour, outside, of train cabooses. That was ok, use to outside tours, but don't bother if you are a handicapped individual. Most of The information that was posted... More

I recently visited the museum with my wife, my son, my daughter-in-law, and my two grandchildren. I have always been a railroad buff and this is a great place for young and old. It's almost all outdoors, so children can burn off plenty of energy. My grandson is 2 1/2 years old and loves trains. It was quite a thrlll... More

Enjoyed a couple hours here exploring the grounds. There is A LOT to see both inside and out. It is obvious that the volunteers and curators here take pride in the place. Not sure how often they run it, but they do operate a steam locomotive. Many locomotives are displayed and could be climbed on for closer inspection.
