We chose this place because it was within a 2 hour drive from downtown Denver and had activities our sons would definitely enjoy at affordable prices. They spent their first day tubing and then did cross country skiing on the second day. It was simply spectacular, pristine white powdery snow with the sun shining brightly. There were lots of other... More

The Nordic center at snow mountain ranches offers a lot and has a lot of terrain, but we took advantage of free snowshoeing. Trails are easy to follow and not too challenging. It would work well for beginners, families, kids, or those who want a leisurely activity. There are lots of loops so you can pick your distance and challenge... More

We drove up to Snow Mountain Ranch for a quick family get away before school started and really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of Summer activities plenty to keep you busy! THey also allow Dogs, and have a dog park so a big plus when you can bring Fido along. Kids really enjoyed the sledding hill and took a liking to archery!... More

Flew into Denver for a family reunion at Snow Mountain. A good two hour drive from the airport to get to the ranch. We stayed at the Indian Peak lodge and our family was able to reserve a large conference room for gatherings for the entirety of our stay. This location is spectacular. It's quiet, and everywhere you can go... More

First of all, this property is gorgeous! They offer so many activities and you can get a day pass for all of them. The craft shack is especially exciting for kids and adults to create things for very inexpensive fees. They have a well known resident artist as staff there. Also fun is the summer tubing hill. Really steep with... More

Our stay at Snow Mountain Ranch was such a mixed bag, but overall it was a great stay. When we checked in, our room had no heat. They sent someone out to check it but he couldn't fix it so gave us a space heater until they could find us a new room. (The computers were down due to a... More

This is a great place for whole family if you want to experience cross country skiing and nice views. Find Nordic Center at the ranch. They rent skies and sell usage tickets. Rental was less than $20 but usage was 20. If you stay at the Ranch there is no usage fee. There is also a cafeteria upstairs where you... More

A great place to spend the day with your family. Purchase a day pass and the ranch is your oyster. Cross country skiing trails are plentiful and the employees in the Nordic center are extremely helpful. Tubing hill is fun. There is not a magic carpet that takes you back to the top of hill so be prepared to get... More

Winter vacation wonderland! Snow Mt YMCA ranch has surprising accommodations for the whole family or when traveling alone. I stayed at the Indian Peaks lodge which provided a large room w two queen beds, microwave and fridge. No TV in room but there is a TV in the lobby. We spent most of the day outdoors, cross country skiing on... More

We stayed in the Granby area and chose to get a day pass at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch location. We really wanted our children to go tubing and everyone talks of the hill in Frasier, but its much more expensive (just to tube) and we have a 5 yr old in tow (as well as an 8yr old) and... More
