I hiked Bowen Gulch trail starting from Rocky Mtn. National Park trailhead for about 4.5 miles to a trail junction, then you go right, and hike up to Blue Lake, a beautiful lake with Mountains behind it. It is a hard hike, lots of uphill,...More

This is the perfect trail for beginners or those acclimating to the altitude. You can hike a little or a long way and see beautiful scenery and we did see some elk a long the way. Kids can do this trail with little difficulty.

This was a short flat hike. With kids-we wanted to test the waters to see how they would do. The wind and blue sky is amazing.

Very nice trail. It is also an 'interpretive' trail. Get information from the US Forest Service that will tell you what you are seeing along the trail. This trail is maintained by hard working volunteers.

Great trail with great mountain vistas. We rode to the top with ATV and hiked down to a car parked in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Will do more next time.
