Grand Lake Nordic Center offers 35km of groomed scenic ski trails. One of our favorite trails "River Run" is parallel and crosses the Colorado River. We also offer snow shoe trails and a tubing hill. After skiing you may relax in front of a roaring fire and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate along with a scenic panorama view of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Colorado ski/winter vacations are not cheap with ski packages and overpriced restaurants, so finding such a gem as the Grand Lake Nordic Center for free tubing and sledding is a novelty. They do ask for donations to use the tubing hill since they have to keep it groomed, but they are happy with any amount. They provide several tubes, or... More

Took the wife out for an afternoon ski, got 2 $10 ski passes for the afternoon. Had the place to ourselves, groomed trails everywhere! There are dog trails if you need to bring a puppy. Friendly staff and great gear if you need a set up. Tubing hill onsite as well. Grand Lake nordic is a golf course in summer.

The Nordic Center is awesome. Just a short hop from downtown. Reasonably priced rental equipment with friendly staff. My wife had never skied before and loved it.

We arrived in Grand Lake the week after a huge blizzard, and in the days leading up to our arrival, there was a decent amount of snow fall. So by the time we wanted to go cross country skiing, there was a decent padding of snow on the floor, and there was a beautiful blanket of white over the landscape... More

The Nordic center at grand lake is one of the oat beautiful places to cross country ski or snow shoe. The trails are well groomed, the staff is friendly, and the views of the nearby mountains is outstanding. A huge plus is that I can take my Weimaraners here off leash while I ski! The tickets are very reasonable

My son's family of 5 and my husband and I were spending 3 days at Grand Lake. It snowed 5 inches during the night so we decided to check out the Nordic Center. It was a Thursday morning and we had the whole slope to ourselves. The ladies inside were extremely helpful. The slope was just right for 3 kids... More
