PROS: lots of mature trees that provide a ton of shade. Not crowded. In the middle of no where. There are a few historical sites to explore, if you're interested in them. The lake itself is HUGE. There is a fish cleaning station for you...More

I've tent-camped here three times, and plan to return. Too hot and buggy in the summer, but lovely in the fall. An easy (though long) drive from Denver, and a great way to get out of the city for a few days. Beautiful and spacious...More

First, the GPS took us 10 miles down a dirt road, to a small part of the lake, then we turned around and finally found the visitors center. We drove around, trying to find a place to fish. There wasn't anyone else fishing, and only...More

This park needed the grass/weeds mowed very badly, the trees needed trimming and the mostiuqos are bad. The fishing was average.

First the good. The park is on a beautiful lake, the staff and park rangers are very nice folks, and this is a peaceful place to get away; even on a holiday weekend like when we visited. The Bad: The facilities are lacking in the...More

I recommend following Mapquest or Google recommendations to get here. Positive: The campsites are clean and have full hook ups. The lake water is clean and there is plenty of room for all the water vessels. The launch ramps are not busy. The fish, mostly...More

We spent the last night of our trip here. This park was nice. Lots of trees, and Lisa of spaces. Our kids had fun at the swim beach, perfect for small children to wade and splash in. The water was nice and warm. The restrooms...More

We spent a long weekend here with our 5th wheel camper. We had electrical hook-ups but that was all. There are ample restrooms, a laundry and shower. The last two require $$ to use. Bring your own water to drink as the water coming out...More
