Though the hike was intense to get there, the reward was best. There were already some people there. They were kind enough to give us a place to sink into and enjoy. Definitely recommend this. Just be prepared to walk a downward winding rocky trail. 😊 plus it’s FREE

We were in the hot s prings for over 1 hour. Lovely temperature in the springs, 40gr. The showers and changing rooms are clean. The staff is friendly although there is a renovation ongoing, it is worthwhile visting.

We went to Upper Banff Hot springs and Radium. We liked Radium the most. It was larger and had a separate pool that is cooler for kids. It had a water slide in the one for kids. The rock formations on the side of the pool are lovely and there are a few picnic tables with umbrellas to get out of the sun if needed. It is right on the river as well but we never got out of the hot tub and walked up to see it. The temperature was perfect and they rent towels for a $1 and also give you a quarter for the locker. The locker room was clean and staff friendly. You drive through Sinclair Canyon if coming from Banff into Kootenay which is absolute gorgeous as you get to Radium. You have to go through the canyon after reaching the hot springs about 2 blocks so go past the hot springs and drive through the canyon. It is truly lovely and we say a mass of bighorn sheep on the side of the road in Radium.…

Was very hyped but no bigger than the average hot tub with too many people much warmer than the Colorado river but not overly hot. Typical sulfur smell but not overpowering. Footwear necessary in the area.
