We booked our stay in December to get into this Campground. What a disappointment!!! Our site took a good few hours to a clean up to a minimally acceptable condition. The bathrooms were filthy, but no shortage of Rangers circling around endlessly keeping and "eye on...More

A tiny little muddy pothole in the desert. It might be a nice place except they allow motors, so ski boats pretty much take over the lake. It takes about ten minutes to paddle from one end of the lake to the other. No reason...More

We've stayed at Highline Lake State Park Campground twice, both times to take advantage of the nearby mountain biking at 18 Road, Mary's Loop, Kokopelli Trail, etc. It's a drive from Highline Lake to get to those places (10-15 miles), but it was worth it...More

Stopped here for the night after visiting Arches National Park. Campground is spacious, with central bathroom, showers and laundry. The camp host was wonderful, bringing over firewood, making sure everything was ok with our campsite, and even helping with driving suggestions for the next day.

Highline is well "out of town" but close enough for most everyone in Grand Junction to get there in under 30 minutes. The Lake is created by the Highline Canal, which provides agricultural water to many farms and such for the 30 or so miles...More

This is a great place to cool off in the heat of the summer. The lake is nice and there are hiking and mountain biking trails around the lake. The lake is small but can handle water skiers. The camping area is small and reservations...More

I'm not sure exactly what you are after but there is a big grassy day-use area with lots of tables and room to play. It's close to the beach area.
