This is s great park to get away from the heat. It cools off every evening after getting to 80 something degrees in July. We've been sweltering in Grand Junction. There no hook ups at all and water is a challenge. The restrooms are pit...More

This is not much of a park. It surrounds a reservoir and is mostly for fishing and boating. At the entrance, we asked if we could just drive in to see it. We had to pay seven dollars, but we were told that if we...More

A nice little state park. The road around the lake was nice. They had multiple pull outs for you to camp and fish. We seen a lot of families fishing which was nice .

I was here in December - the park was deserted, but the views were spectacular. In better weather I'm sure the hike around the reservoir is gorgeous.

Google and Garmon will get you lost trying find this lake and campgrounds (really 2 separate areas of the lake). The backside sites are best for tenting. Beautiful lake and lots of wildlife.

Very few people in the park. My wife and I hiked the trail all the way around the reservoir. Not a pretty day temperature-wise. We loved the clear water, the campsites, the many restrooms, the views, the wildlife. It was a very peaceful experience.

A must see whilst in the area, the sites are really only for the able bodied, but there is one near to the museum that is wheel chair accessible.
