Did up and down in a day carrying kit incase we had to camp...was an amazing, if tough, experience. Next time I am running it!

We only used it for the lower 2ish miles to hike back down after ascending the Incline stairs - recommend doing this than trying to walk back down the very steep stairs. Trail is beautifully maintained!!

But don’t forget to pay to park ($5/day). Use the machine and get a receipt for dashboard. The trail is very well maintained and is the trail the PikesPeak Marathon uses in August. Great views all along.

This is quite the hike especially now that the cog railway is not running. Starting at the trail head in Manitou, the hike is 13 1/2 miles up which means you are in for a 27 mile hike. Most likely, if you have the average...More

Great little day trip/walk/hike! Perfect for dogs or to take kids. Trail has good parking and very close to Helen Hunt falls. Take a picnic and about 1/2 mile below the trail you can park by creek and let kids/dogs play in water.

I make my trek up the Manitou Incline to the Barr Trail every year on my way to the summit of PIke’s Peak. Using the Incline cuts out about two miles of the trail up, but it can be a pretty steep and strenuous climb....More

We started at the trail head and hiked to the point that the trail met the top of the incline (6 miles round trip). Good hike with some good views, but the trail could have been marked better.
