We heard lots of good things about Downtown Manitou and thought it would be a great way to spend an afternoon but really it's just full of overpriced baubles, mass produced clothes with animal prints, and eateries. The parking is a dollar an hour though plentiful. Make sure you know your licence plate number as you have to enter it... More

Its situation is good, at the foot of the mountain and you can park outside for free and walk in or you can pay a dollar an hour in the town easily. A small park, and there are a lot of people hanging out, and there is a lot of cannabis being smoked, and it is very strong, almost intrusive,... More

We visited this area on multiple days. Find somewhere to park, get out and walk around. There are many different shop, restaurants and a huge arcade. The arcade is outside and inside of many shops. We played at the arcade, had dinner, shopped and enjoyed ice cream. It's good to visit during the day and the evening!

Manitu springs is a quaint little town set at the foot of Pikes Peak. Tons of shopping and game arcades in restaurants. Something for everyone. Don't miss it on your visit to Colorado.

This is a Victorian town that appears to have been booming in the second half of the 19th century. There are lots of old Victorian houses in the town but many of them look tattered. The Main Street is choked with tourist stores of the T-shirt and candle type . There was nothing that appealed to us. There may be... More

Very artsy quaint downtown area. Shops with local artwork, gifts, restaurants, arcade, ice cream shops, and small playground. Worth a stroll if in the area, not sure I would make a special trip there.

When we visited Manitou Springs, I had read about the cute shops before we arrived and thought great things to do in the evenings after our day trips. We were sadly disappointed. Many of the stores would close around 6:00 PM. On evening walking along the street by the library, my husband could smell someone smoking marijuana on the public... More

This was a wonderful surprise...we went to look for minerals and rocks and found so many unique art and food shops. The main street is walkable and fun to look. Our teenagers even enjoyed it!
