I recently spent time with 'H' as I wanted to learn the basics of SLR photography and I wasn't disappointed. H successfully manages to bring humour to the whole learning experience, which is never a bad thing. He explains the basics of aperture, shutter speed and ISO in a clear 'no fuss' manner. My wrist was aching from holding his... More

Spent a great afternoon with 'H' yesterday and now understand at last aperture, shutter speed and ISO!!!!!!! 'H's' enthusiasm for photography was clear within the first 5 minutes of our session and he is so willing to pass on his knowledge and experience as well as hints and tips for making your photos even better. Like many previous reviewers I... More

I have just spent half a day with H in Tenby. I had a great time and learnt a lot from H. However, I recommend H for more than his photography knowledge. From making the initial inquiry and during all of the time leading up to the day, the communication has been great. H is a great guy to spend... More

We had a great day with H touring us around northern Pembrokeshire. My husband Dick is an avid amateur photographer; I was along for the sights and the stories. And H has an unlimited store of stories, about every corner of the coast we visited! He motored us quickly to numerous lovely viewpoints, including a short hike to Needle Rock,... More

I have waited 2 years to come back to Pembrokeshire after first meeting H at St Davids City Hall where he had a display of his work, which inspired me to get my 1st DSLR......I said I would return and a brilliant day I had, H is an excellent teacher and I learnt so much in a day and even... More

So we met H at Porthgain - we were a mixed bunch = a serious photographer, a very good photographer, two learners and me with my mobile phone. Was it any good? - yep! Did we learn new stuff? - yep! was it worth every penny? - yep! It was everything it promised and then some but the best bit... More

Tuition Course was a gift from my daughters. We had a lovely day at the Wildlife Centre. 'H' was very knowledgeable and patient. He made sure that you understood and gave you plenty of practice. I know so much more about the camera and taking pictures as well as the area. H is really enthusiastic about the area, the wildlife... More

When viewing H's website and the testimonials therein, you will see that many of the comments describe him as being 'enthusiastic'. There really is no better word for describing him and the way that he delivers his course to you. My brother-in-law and I were booked in via his website to have a half day with him (end of July... We had a fascinating day at beautiful Marloes Sands, timed (at H's suggestion) to coincide with the retreat of the tide. H was painstaking in explaining the basics to me, whilst going into more technical detail for my more proficient father. Nothing is too much trouble, and he is full of information about local wildlife, and keen to demystify some... More
