My son had a blast, he met one of the ski instructors and she was eager to show him the ropes and teach him! He was so excited as he came back every day with more exciting stories of his time on the slopes. He loved every minute of it!

I love skiing here with my family when I'm visiting the Grand Junction area. Affordable lift tickets, nice groomed terrain plus plenty of black diamonds for those who want more of a challenge, affordable and good lessons. Only complaint is that the cafeteria's food is lacking. But I do like it's bar! I also loved the New Year's Eve Torchlight... More

I went down hill mountain biking at the resort on Sunday and had an amazing time! I took lessons with Stewart and I was grateful for all the advice. He was a great guide and I wouldn't have had nearly as good a time as I did without him showing me the trails!

We enjoyed the trees and the lift ride to the top of the mountain for a walk. There were a number of mountain bikers on the weekend. You and bike could ride lift for... More

I had skied here almost a decade ago when I wasn’t very good. Hubs had never skied there, so we decided to go as an overnight trip since I had a free stay at the downtown Grand Junction Springhill Marriott. We decided to visit on a weekend in January. What I can say about Powderhorn this time is: WOW! Snow... More

By far the best place to learn to ski as an adult and/or teach young kids. From early beginner to expert skiing, Powderhorn is best! All ski runs end at the same location. All levels of skiing will end at the same place, which makes Powderhorn exceptional for groups with varying levels. Ski school instructors are great for adults (me)... More
