I truly enjoyed visiting this museum and I highly recommend it! It was one of the better tours I ever had in my life. The price was $10 and you get a personalized walking historical experience. The gentlemen who toured me was knowledgeable, witty and made the tour fun. A must do for all ages!!

Well worth the $10 per person we paid upon arrival. We were entertained, educated and amazed at our guided tour throughout the entire interior and exterior of the Museum buildings. Our guide was Mike and he made our tour fascinating, educational and fun. You will need to schedule about 2 hours for the tour. We even were permitted to go... More

This is a must stop. Doesn't look like much from the road but that big steel has a whole recreated block on old time western shops. The proprietor is a wealth of knowledge.

Wow, just wow. This place is an absolute delight!!! They have an unbelievable number of items on display, and I love that they have created "settings" for their displays. Rather than just display items you would find in a general store, or items from a dentist's office, they actually built a general store and a dentist's office, so you can... More

2 hour tour well worth the $10 apiece we paid. One of the best museum's we have visited. Only a mile out of Montrose. Would return again as we know we didn't see a third of what is on display

We're really not usually that much into museums, but glad we made the trip up from Tellurirde for this one. Guide was super enthused about his work, and I think we still would've been there if we had enough questions! At $10 each, I'd say this was a pretty good value. Try to couple it with a lunch before or... More

I live in Montrose and I still love going to this museum even after the many tours I have taken with family and friends over the years. It is a labor of love for Rich, the owner and has been for so many years as he started collecting artifacts at the ripe old age of four. He was an archaeologist... More

One of the best collections of period material I've seen. The buildings are original, and meticulously restored. We has a real sense of being immersed in the time period. Tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and connected past to present.

Fantastic! Definitely worth it. Didn't plan on going but saw the sign and stopped, glad we did. Richard and the team have a real passion for history and teaching others about it; the tours were great. The museum and it's amazingly detailed and accurate exhibits made us feel like we traveled back in time. From the minute you enter the... More

Stopped here on a whim as we drove by on our way to the Black Canyon. What a neat place with lots and lots of old stuff displayed in an interesting manner. There are multiple well designed period shops containing period items which have been collected over the years. The owner has collected everything from hat pins to buildings (old... More
