This place is small but it's packed full of fantastic displays, art, fossils and bones. If that wasn't enough we were able to watch them feed the reptiles and a wonderful informative tour guide was included! Lauren was amazing, we learned SO much and had a great time! From the time we walked in until we left we felt like... More

After a morning hike at Red Rock Park and lunch in the little town of Morrison, we stumbled on this jewel of a museum. Small and unassuming outside, fabulous exhibits and awesome staff inside. The entry fee included a personal tour, who would have thought. Doug was our guide. He spent over an hour showing us around and amazing us... More

We went on a cold fall day and were pleasantly surprised. Our guide, Fritz, was extremely knowledgeable, and spent nearly two hours showing us around. Also at the museum was Dr. Bob Bakker, one of the foremost paleontologists in the world. Dr. Bakker showed us a small skull on which he was examining the brain cavity. Dr. Bakker's books were... Great selection for a small museum, with plenty of hands on stuff for kids inside if the dig outside is closed for winter or weather, and the tour is actually worth your time.

I went last week with my 4 year old son to a birthday party there, and it is amazing! They have the first ever baby stegosaurus foot print and so many more unique fossils. There is even a room where you can help them clean out new fossils.

While driving the scenic byways and stopping in the town of Morrison I decided to follow the signs to the local history Museum. I did not know what to expect! Sharon was my tour guide and she was a delight. It was great to learn about the Jurassic history of the region. I learned so much. As someone who has... More

I had seen this museum a few times and was driving past with nothing to do so I stop in. Very cool place and very informative about the area and what they have found. You can touch almost all the fossils and there are even some reptiles you can pet! Tour guide was very informative.

This was recommended by the man at the front desk when we checked into our hotel. This Museum is small but HUGE in history and information. We were given a guided tour and learned so much. This Museum has some one of a kind finds.Great for families but I'd recommend children old enough to understand what's being said.

This museum wasn't originally on our list to visit, but I'm sure glad that we made the stop. The paleontologist who gave the tour was awesome with our kids and clearly loved the museum. The kids loved being able to touch several of the "fossils" (actually recreations). My son got to work on a rock containing an actual dinosaur bone.... More
