The falls are gorgeous, but being close to the highway, they draw quite a crowd. You can view the falls and the surrounding areas from several different vantage points.

While somewhat steep for non-mountain people, this is a short hike. You can actually just stay at the base and still see the falls and let the kids play in the water. We hiked up to the midpoint and then on up to the overlook,...More

Nice walk up the mountainside. The falls were so cool! The day we were there, there was a good breeze. It kept us cooled off and blew the water from side to side (never seen that before). We had a great time!

After a long day of Spring skiing Wolf Creek, we stopped at Treasure Falls on the way home. The runoff was amazing. It was a good hike up to the bridge and worth the pictures. The trail was muddy and snow packed in some spots...More

This is a short, uphill hike on a pretty good trail. The kids had a good time & got to the top way faster than I did. The whole trip up & back (going back was waaay easier) didn't probably take even an hour.

Right off the road to South Fork from Pagosa Springs. A small hike up hill, about a quarter mile. Well worth the view, but can be seen from the main road

A very pretty view, a lot of people hike up the trail. Our kids did the hike, but a little to steep for me and my wife. I enjoyed feeding the chipmunks while waiting. Biggest con I saw was there was not enough parking. Parking...More

This place is lovely. There is a nice trail with a little bit of uphill climb, but I was still able to handle it. There is a primitive trail which my husband said was quite steep and not for the average hiker. The drive to...More

Yes, there are some drop offs. I think you could manage with a close eye on your son. The worst place, and also most beautiful is probably the bridge over the falls.

You can see falls from the car park. the trail is dirt and rough for a normal wheel chair.
