It is unusual to tour a historic home with its original furniture. The place is amazing and the collections and furnishing were really interesting. I must also comment that I had a great volunteer tour guide! My tour was A+++.

Go here every year during the holiday season. Everything is decorated so beautifully! Must take weeks to get it so perfect. They have year round tours, not just the holiday season. This is a must see for locals and out of town visitors! You won't be disappointed!

This is a magnificent 37 room mansion that was home to the John and Margaret Thatcher family and was named for Mrs. Thatcher's favorite flower. This is one of those attractions worthy to take visiting friends and family to see when visiting Pueblo. I know I took many visitors there and each and every one enjoyed it. The only drawback... Beautiful home. One family's house with mostly original furnishings. Unique intercom system. Knowledgeable tour guide.

Beautifully maintained 37 room mansion built in the late 1890s. Many items are original to the house and photos of the family in the home. There is a restaurant right next door in the old carriage house. Family trunks are stored in the store room on the 3rd floor with family initials on them and a wooden crate that held... More

We took a tour of this house on our recent visit to Pueblo. It was truly a mansion-25 rooms and beautiful architecture. 85% of the items inside were original to the house, which was really neat. Even the servants' wings were beautiful. The docents were very knowledgeable. The only complaint was the last docent (we had 3) who took us... More

Rosemount Museum is an historic home owned by the Thatcher family. It was built in the early 1890’s and has 37 rooms. You will not see all of them on the tour. There are so few of these historic homes that have not been adapted for other uses, it is nice to see one in its original glory. They are... More

I worked at Rosemount years ago as an Education Assistant and let me tell you, it's a magical place. Unlike many historic homes, Rosemount never underwent any alteration into apartments or another private residence - it is literally frozen in time from when the Thatchers lived their daily lives there. As such, almost all the furnishings and personal items on... More

We enjoyed the tour that provided us a glimpse into the past. The mansion was well preserved and simply gorgeous.

So many of these 1800's mansions have either fallen in to disrepair or been torn down. Not only is this not the case here it is full of the families furniture. This is a grand home of the Thatcher Family. They started as merchants and ended up owning a number of Banks in Southern Colorado. Some of the neat things... More
