My wife and I love it here. Worth any difficulties due to ruggedness of nature! It is beautiful the way to the tower and when enjoying the view from the tower; a wonderful place to visit.

A scenic dirt road drive is required to get here, however, it is worth the drive. This lookout is not longer in service but is manned by volunteers during the summer months for tours. We have taken different friends and relatives there several times and...More

You can only get to the fire tower sometime after the 4th of July, when the road opens, and up until the road is closed due to weather. You are allowed to climb the stairway to the top while the volunteers are there so you...More

It's a nice place to visit while in the Roosevelt Forest. You can climb the ladder to get a great view of the area. Kind of scary if you are afraid of hikes...

It is a long, bumpy drive to the fire tower, but worth it. It is generally open only on weekends during the summer months. But the view from the base is amazing, and if you climb the tower when it is open the multi-state view...More

Drove out to Deadman Lookout. It was too tall for me to climb (I don't care for heights). My husband went to the top and loved it. You can see for miles. There are several paths that you can wander and just enjoy the scenery....More

I have worked the 'Tower' for 4 seasons now. It is open everyday during the summer, weather permitting. The goal is to open no later than July 1 and attempt to stay open to mid-September. The Tower is staffed by... More
