Made this trip from Ridgeway to Telluride in standard 4x4 F150 with no problem. Could do in a crossover suv if not wet weather. Did have to cross a couple of streams so wouldn’t recommend a car. Not really a serious off road trail but...More

Some of the most amazing views you will ever encounter on this planet. Panoramic mountain scenery, snow-capped 14,000-foot peaks, alpine lakes, fall change of colors, aspen forests and the little town of Telluride to cap it off for night-life and relaxation when coming over from...More

This is a dirt road, accessible to standard autos. May be muddy if it has rained recently. Great mountain scenery; a photographers dream. Take it from Ridgway; then enjoy an afternoon in Telluride, before returning to Ridgway via highway 145/62

Fairly easy drive with a few mud puddles in it. You will need 4 wheel drive to drive it completely as the middle section can be rough and slick.

This is a fairly easy trail to run in a jeep. The end near Telluride has some incredible views of the mountains. There are also several sections that pass through Aspen forests. I highly recommend this trail !!!

This is a very pleasant drive with good opportunities to view wildlife. There are few pull offs however and you must watch for trucks and cars.

Great Drive from Sneffels Range to Telluride. A dirt road so watch the weather and don't take if you are in a hurry.

We did it on Nov 22. It has some breathtaking views of the mountain ranges. With good tires and AWD it can be done if there is no a lot of snow, we had about 3-4 miles of snow, but the main problem is the...More

if you are not familiar with the area, best not go without 4 wheel drive and don't try in winter. It is very beautiful and you shouldn't miss.

For us, it has always depended on the weather. On this last visit there were some slick muddy spots however last year after a big rain, we would not have made it out of a deep mud hole without using 4 X 4.

During that time of year be sure to check with folks in Ridgway on the current road conditions as you could encounter snow at that time. I would not recommend taking a passenger car over that road. Approaches from each end... More

Yes, you can, however you will need to trailer your ATV to a staging area right outside Last Dollar Ranch, about a mile or so in. The only problem is that once you get to the end of the road at Hwy. 145, going into... More
