Great easy hike. View of fall colors. Didn't get to tour mine as moron with 3 off leash dogs kept following my little dogs. Owner refused to put her bad mannered dogs on a leash... Although on this trail leash is required

This hike is an easy short drive from Breckenridge with a decent parking area. Most of the hike is up a dirt road, so it's not rough at all. It is a bit steep and we noticed a number of people struggling a bit, but...More

Unless the spelling has been corrected in the Tripadvisor title for this attraction, it is wrong; it is not Sally Barber, but *Sallie* Barber. Also, the address given at this time, 680 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne, is that of the Dillon Ranger District Building...More

I went with my friend and her two infant granddaughters as well as their moms who had them in backpacks. Not a hard hike and yet you are out in the backcountry. Nice views after you hit the destination It’s always nice to know there...More

This is a very nice hike because the dirt road is wide and flat, easy to navigate. The rating of easy to moderate is accurate. There is still a bit of an incline, so be prepared. However, I would not have figured out where to...More

We've been up the French Gulch Trail twice, once with snow pack and once in the summer. We're retired and so we quickly abandoned our cross country skis in the winter to just hike. The thrill is always the mine at the top. Nice place...More

We often hike up the Sally Barber Mine Rd. when visiting Breckenridge. It's easily accessible off HWY 9 to French Gulch road just outside of Breckenridge. The parking lot is also used by mountain bikers who access the many trails in this extensive system. The...More

The Sallie Barber mine is outside of Breckenridge along the French Gulch Trail, not Silverthorne. Snowshoeing this trail is easy to moderate. From the Trail Head, head off the main road and wind back into the forest. The trail is well traveled and could even...More

Wide road is the trail. It felt fairly steep. Not really long. Some mining details at the end were a nice place to learn something before heading back.

This is an easy bike or hike to great views and old mine ruins. The hike to the mine itself is only 3 RT, but there are so many other trails, you can do a loop and make this hike as long or short as...More

Thanks - you're correct, it is out of Breckenridge. Not sure why Siverthorne shows up as the location, as I was picking the mine from a provided list to review.
