Love Steamboat. Because it's so big and 3 hours from Denver, even a busy day isn't crowded. There are plenty of runs for kids and the older, more experienced skier. Lots of dining options in the town too but get a reservation on Friday and...More

We had purchased the Route 40 Pass from Winter Park that included days at Steamboat. We had problems with one of our passes and the ticket staff were wonderfully helpful.

After a bit of price comparison, I almost did not give Steamboat 5 stars. It is near the top for single-day lift prices at $149/day in 2016. You can save a little (15%) by purchasing on-line, but you must do so 7 days in advance....More
