We went at the end of the season, and the scenery was spectacular with the aspen trees aflame across the mountains. We made it up to Tomboy, but had to stop there due to snow and ice further up towards Imogene Pass. We also hit Bridal Veil as a consolation prize which was lovely as well. Ask for Herb to... More

Our guide was Herb. He was amazing! The road was bumpy and a blast! We went up to 13000 ft., Played in the snow at the top and had the adventure of a lifetime. He gave us a great history lesson but also the " real stories". I can't wait to go on another adventure with Herb!!!

Took the Imogene Pass/Tomboy tour! Highlight of the vacation! Herb is fantastic, very likable, a wealth of knowledgeable about the area, history etc. Seeing the beauty of these mountains was an exceptional experience made possible by Herb & his canine companion Rocky. He was very competent at handling the Pinzgauer and made us feel safe while traversing the narrow roads... More

Our family really enjoyed the half-day trip over Ophir Pass and Black Bear Pass. My husband equated the trip's excitement to white water rafting without the water. The views are stunning and the trail is heart-pounding. Despite the fear factor, I felt completely safe in the more than capable vehicle and Herb's experience crossing Black Bear more than 200 times.... More

We decided this morning to try an off-road trip into the mine areas above Telluride and so glad we did. Beautiful views, great history of the area provided by the driver and guide Bill. Will do this again!

Herb was our driver for an adventure going up Tomboy past historic mines on Imogene Pass. Reaching over 13,000 feet. Experienced the mountains up close and personal. Herb was very informative and fun stories. We had a co-pilot, Jake the dog, that added fun. This is our third trip up the pass, Herb was the best we have had.

The experience was great. Great views of the mountains and the old mining remnants Bill, our guide, was excellent. He provided a history of the area and provided pictures from the 1900's to show how the miners lived in the area. He was awesome at making the drive safe and enjoyable.
